Diane Randall


Inaugural 2011 Leadership Award

Diane Randall began working with the Partnership for Strong Communities in 1998 when it started as a collaborative advocacy initiative to support the work of non-profits dedicated to ending homelessness. In 2003, the Partnership became an independent non-profit organization, and Diane was named the fi rst Executive Director. Under her leadership, the Partnership advocated for more than $400M of funding from the Connecticut General Assembly for supportive and affordable housing, launched the Reaching Home campaign, and served as a leading voice for housing opportunity, homelessness, and vibrant communities. Diane served widely on the boards of other organizations that share her vision for our future.

She sat on the Board of Directors of the National Low Income Housing Coalition; she served as Chair of the Mortgage Committee of the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority Board of Directors; she chaired the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee of the Federal Home Loan Bank, Boston; and she was a member of the Unted Way of Connecticut Board of Directors.

On March 1, 2011 Diane Randall joined Friends Committee on National Legislations as the fourth Executive Secretary since 1943, where she continues to advocate for issues of justice, peace, and equity for all.
