Volunteers Needed for 2017 Point-in-Time Count and CT Youth Count

The Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness seeks volunteers for the 2017 CT Point-in-Time (PIT) Count, which is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. The PIT is a single day dedicated to counting individuals and families that are experiencing homelessness and are either sheltered or unsheltered.  Each Continuum of Care is required to submit a count to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) each year.

In conjunction with the PIT, partners across the state will be conducting a weeklong focusing on counting youth and young adults aged 24 and under. The data collected from the 2017 Youth Count will be used as the baseline for HUD for youth and young adults that are experiencing homelessness.
