$40 Million Available in HUD-VASH Funding


On July 5, 2019, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) issued Notice PIH 2019-15 (HA) announcing the availability of $40 million in HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) Program funding. These funds will support approximately 5,000 new HUD-VASH vouchers.

HUD-VASH vouchers provide access to affordable housing and supportive services to veterans experiencing homelessness, and their families. HUD-VASH utilizes HUD Housing Choice Vouchers (HCVs) for homeless veterans, pairing HCV rental assistance with case management and clinical services. The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) partners with Public Housing Agencies (PHAs) to administer these vouchers.
