Applications for 2015 Affordable Housing Academy Open

Connecticut Housing Coalition

The Connecticut Housing Coalition is now accepting applications for the 2015 Affordable Housing Academy. The Affordable Housing Academy is a five-month program run by the Connecticut Housing Coalition and sponsored by the Connecticut Department of Housing (DOH) and Citi Foundation that provides training and technical assistance to housing authorities and private housing developers.

The academy will support project concept development, site selection, budget development, community process, program design, and coordination of operations. Teams develop locally-tailored projects created in response to their community’s unique set of challenges, assets and opportunities.

The Academy also focuses on the development of local partnerships needed to create and manage high-quality, resident-focused housing. Detailed project assistance is provided through workshops, facilitated team work, and direct project financing and technical support.

The academy will take place from June 2015 – October 2015 in New Haven.

Applications are due by Monday, June 8, 2015. Please direct questions to Betsy Crum, Connecticut Housing Coalition, at 860-563-2943, ext. 12 or betsy@ct-housing.org.
