Connecticut REALTORS Report Decrease in Home Sales but Increase in Prices

Comparing October of 2015 with October of 2016, Connecticut REALTORS report that the single-family home and condominium sales prices have increased. The median sales price of single-family homes has increased by 3.3% from $239,000 to $247,000. The median sales price of condominiums and townhouses has increased by 1.7% from $157,250 to $159,000.

While single-family home sales have decreased, comparing October 2015 to October 2016, condominium and townhomes sales have increased. Connecticut home sales decreased by 4.6% from 3,021 to 2,881, while condominium and townhomes sales increased by 1.7% from 716 to 728.
