DOH Announces Housing Innovations Projects NOFA

CT Department of Housing

On October 5, 2015, the Connecticut Department of Housing (DOH) released the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) Housing Innovations: Housing for Homeless Youth and Other Housing. This NOFA is making available approximately $12 million in capital funding to develop housing opportunities for young adults between the ages of 18 to 24 who are experiencing homelessness, as well as other vulnerable populations.

DOH plans to allocate an additional $3 million for projects that specifically target young adults experiencing homeless to assist with the project operating costs for the next ten years. DOH has collaborated with the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DHMAS) to provide $175,000 in service dollars for that population.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis starting on January 25, 2017, until funding has been exhausted.

All questions or comments can be directed to Kathleen Durand at or (860) 270-8076.
