Governor Announces $11 Million to Twenty TOD Projects

On June 8, 2016, Gov. Daniel P. Malloy announced $11 million in funding that will be administered by the Office of Policy and Management (OPM) under the Responsible Growth and Transit-Oriented Development Grant Program. The $11 million in grants were awarded to 20 projects to increase economic development and create jobs.

Below is the list of the projects that received funding:

  • Berlin - Façade and Landscape Program: $500,000 
  • Branford - Branford Station TOD Master Plan: $125,000 
  • Canton - Collinsville Village Center Infrastructure Improvements: $1,297,100 
  • Clinton - Route 1 Border-to-Border Sidewalk Design: $114,000 
  • Capitol Region Council of Governments - Regional Complete Streets Policy and Action Plan: $450,000 
  • Danbury - Downtown Transit-Oriented Development Planning Study: $225,000 
  • Hartford - Parkville Storm-Water Infrastructure and Streetscape Improvements: $2,000,000 
  • Madison - Tuxis Walkway and Bradley Road Improvements: $400,000 
  • Meriden - Sidewalk Reconstruction and Complete Streets Implementation: $869,389 
  • New Canaan - Downtown Pedestrian Loop- Weed Street Sidewalk Connection: $150,000 
  • New Haven - Long Wharf District Responsible Growth Plan: $935,000 
  • Northwest Hills Council of Government - HouBike Trail Alignment Study: $26,250 
  • Northwest Hills Council of Governments - Water/Wastewater solutions for infill development in West Cornwall: $45,000
  • Naugatuck Valley Council of Government - Naugatuck River Greenway Study: $110,000 
  • Old Saybrook - Saybrook Junction Infrastructure Planning: $125,000 
  • Torrington and Winsted - Sue Grossman Still River Greenway: $1,825,000 
  • Waterbury - Freight Street redevelopment Strategy: $189,000 
  • Westport - Saugatuck Station Area TOD Master Plan: $440,000 
  • Windsor - Animal Shelter Relocation and Site Development: $993,000 
  • Windsor Locks - Main Street Property Acquisition and Pre-Development: $137,000
