HUD Awards $355 Million in Continuum of Care Grants

On May 2, 2016, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has awarded approximately $355 million to homeless housing and service providers. Connecticut is poised to receive $10.9 million dollars to assist in the state’s efforts to prevent and end homelessness. This funding is awarded through HUD’s Tier 2 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program to help support over 1,200 local homes housing and services programs across the nation.
