HUD Publishes FY 2018 CoC NOFA

On Wednesday, June 20th, 2018, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced the Notice of Funding Availability for the Fiscal Year 2018 Continuum of Care Program Competition. This funding is making available $2.1 billion to fund housing programs that support individuals and families that are experiencing homelessness and those fleeing domestic violence. 

New to this NOFA:

  • Applicants can transfer a current renewable project to another component through the Transition Grants, such as a Permanent Housing program can be transitioned into a Rapid Re-housing project. 
  • Includes approximately $50 million in Domestic Violence Bonus to provide housing to victims of domestic violence.
  • Applicants can consolidate up to four renewable projects into one project application. 
  • New project applications can be submitted under the Bonus and Reallocation process. 

Applications are due by 8 pm EDT on Tuesday, September 18, 2018.
