New HUD Guideline for PHAs and CoCs Collaboration

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)

As part of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) goal to encourage partnership amongst Continuums of Care (CoCs) and Public Housing Agencies (PHAs), it has released two resources to assist PHAs and CoCs in their collaboration.

The CoC and PHA Collaboration: Strategies for CoCs to Start the Partnership Conversation highlights the steps needed for CoCs to develop or enhance partnership communication with local public housing authorities. Also, it outlines some planned activities CoCs and PHAs can organize to strengthen their collaboration.

The Business Case for Partnering with Public Housing Agencies to Serve People Who are Homeless provides a broader overview of the benefits associated with partnering with a PHA or a CoC to end homelessness in their local community.
