New Initiatives Focus on Employment and Homelessness

National Center on Employment and Homelessness

Heartland Alliance launched the National Center on Employment and Homelessness (NCEH) and the Connections Project in January 2015.

The purpose of NCEH is to remove barriers to employment for those who have or are experiencing homelessness and to increase economic stability for these individuals. NCEH will work to make these changes through advocacy efforts around federal legislation and appropriations.

NCEH has also announced an RFP for The Connections Project, which will provide community-level support for employment initiatives. These efforts are made possible by support from the Melville Charitable Trust and the Oak Foundation.
