Part-time Project Manager Opening at HOPE Partnership


HOPE Partnership, a non-profit dedicated to the provision of affordable workforce housing in the central Connecticut shoreline region, is seeking a part-time Project Manager.

Duties:  The Project Manager will support the HOPE Properties Committee, including identify and research possible properties where housing could be located, preparation of monthly agendas and minutes for approval of the Committee Chairman; calculate income verification of potential buyers of affordable housing units; calculate maximum sale prices in accordance with the guidelines established in State statute and the Affordability Plan of each development; assist with set up and logistics for fund raisers and other events; and other projects as the need may arise. Assist the HOPE Properties Committee with various projects; setup meetings and contacts for the volunteer board members; attend various social and service organization meetings with the intent of developing contacts and connections for HOPE.

Skills and Knowledge:  Excel at social interactions that lead to working relationships among disperse groups, aptitude with financial modeling, knowledge of state and federal housing finance programs, understanding of the land use permitting process, minute taking, tracking of actions to assure agendas move from meeting to meeting, ability to work cooperatively with other part time personnel and volunteer members, enthusiasm and a shared ownership of the mission of providing affordable workforce housing, with some fundraising responsibilities.

Experience:  Previous employment in the fields of Property Management, Real Estate, Housing Finance, Land Use Planning or other fields providing the necessary skills to perform the duties outlined above.

Hours:  This is a part time position.  A typical workweek will consist of between ten (10) to fifteen (15) hours per week.  Dependent upon workload, there may be occasions where the person in this position may work less or more hours.
