Provide the Census Bureau With Your Input on the ACS

The Census Bureau is seeking feedback on the American Community Survey (ACS) from its users as part of a review it is conducting to assess the need for the data produced by the annual survey. In recent years, some Members of Congress and survey respondents have questioned the need for the detailed information asked in the annual survey conducted by the Census Bureau. In order to evaluate whether the questions asked provide useful information to the public, the Census Bureau is seeking to find out how frequently users access this information, how they use the data and whether the ACS is the only source for this type of data.

The National Low Income Housing Coalition is urging housing advocates to respond to the survey as the ACS is often the sole source of information related to housing costs and housing burdens in most areas of the country.
