Recipe For Revitalization: Enhancing Hartford’s Neighborhoods!


With more than 1,100 new apartments, the arrival of 2,200 UCONN students, and new mass transit connections opening a world of opportunities for workers and employers, many observers believe that downtown Hartford may be headed for a comeback. Can that growth fuel simultaneous prosperity for Hartford’s neighborhoods? And if so, how?Nationwide trends towards compact, walkable urban living present an exceptional opportunity to reimagine how the neighborhoods may evolve to advance the City’s resurgence. What steps can City and community leaders take to enable city-wide success? 

At The Partnership’s final IForum of the year, to be held from 9 to 11 am Tuesday, June 17 at The Lyceum, a panel of experts will take a close look at strategies to enhance Hartford’s neighborhoods in “Recipe for Revitalization: Leveraging Downtown Investment to Spark a Revival of Hartford’s Neighborhoods.” Members of the audience will have a significant opportunity to offer their views today.
