Report and Webinar Look at Aligning Federal Low Income Housing Programs with Needs

National Low Income Housing Coalition

The National Low Income Housing Coalition held a webinar Aligning Federal Low Income Housing Programs with Housing Need to review the report of the same name. The materials from that webinar are now available online.

NLIHC’s report, Aligning Federal Low Income Housing Programs with Housing Need, is available here

The report is the first product of the Alignment Project, which was undertaken to gain insight into how existing federal housing resources are being used and how to better align them with the need for housing among extremely low income households. This report includes findings on how well Low Income Housing Tax Credit programs and other programs serve extremely low income households as well as strategies affordable housing developers have used to achieve deep affordability without subsidies.

The powerpoint presentations from the presentation are available here

The report Understanding Whom the LIHTC Program Serves: Tenants in LIHTC Units as of December 31, 2012 mentioned in the webinar is available here
