Social Impact Research Helps Philanthropy Invest in Ending Chronic Homelessness

 

Root Cause, a nonprofit research and consulting firm based in Cambridge, MA, has released a new report on ending chronic homelessness, with a focus on philanthropic efforts finding high-impact investments in this realm. The report has three components:

  1. An overview of chronic homelessness, which includes an investment recommendation, information on the return on investment, and ways to take further action.
  2. A state report, which defines the context of how the social issue of ending chronic homelessness is being addressed in New York and Massachusetts
  3. A guide to giving, which provides information needed to evaluate an organization working to end chronic homelessness in five steps.
