State Approves Funding for Remediation and Development

 

The State Bond Commission approved on April 26, 2013 various funds to revitalize public housing, improve client delivery systems and for development/re-development projects.

Below are the relevant funding approvals:

  • Office of Policy and Management - $11,529,988 for development and implementation of information technology enhancements for various state agencies. The Department of Social Services is included in this funding and would use the funding to implement ConneCT - a new client service delivery system.
  • Department of Economic and Community Development - $7,789,679 to provide grants-in-aid to housing authorities to revitalize state low and moderate income housing units.
  • Department of Economic and Community Development - $7,200,000 for the Regional Brownfield Redevelopment Loan Fund to provide loans to remediate contaminated brownfield sites.
  • Office of Policy and Management - $14,469,405 to provide grants-in-aid to various state agencies for urban development projects.
