U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH)

The USICH Report to Congress on How to Better Coordinate Federal Programs Serving Youth Experiencing Homelessness highlights the federal plans to prevent and end youth homelessness by 2020, provides an overview of current existing programs to assist youth in need, and estimates the number of youth experiencing homelessness in 2014.

The report outlines the approach the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH) will be implementing in their effort to prevent and end youth homelessness and explains how the work will be segmented into different phases. It also identifies new funding opportunities and statutory changes that might be implemented at the U.S. Department of Education, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
