Honor someone for their commitment to ending homelessness in Connecticut!

We are now accepting nominations for the Reaching Home Celebration Awards to be presented at the 15th Annual Reaching Home Celebration. We encourage you to nominate tenants, colleagues, partners, and volunteers who have gone above and beyond in the work of the Reaching Home Campaign.

Award Categories

The Carol Walter Housing Tenant Award (for individuals)
This award recognizes two housing tenants who show commitment to advocacy for permanent housing solutions, exhibit leadership skills, and work to make their community a better place.

The Diane Randall Leadership Award (for individuals or groups) 
This award recognizes an individual or group who demonstrate(s) exemplary leadership in the public or private sector by promoting systems change, policies and funding that create solutions to prevent and end homelessness.

The Reverend Richard Schuster Advocacy Award (for individuals) 
This award recognizes a professional or volunteer who demonstrates an outstanding commitment to raising awareness about the needs of individuals and families currently/in danger of experiencing homelessness, using either legislative or client-centered advocacy.

The Barbara Geller Career Achievement Award (for individuals) 
This award recognizes an individual who has worked tirelessly throughout their lifetime or career to help people experiencing homelessness to find housing and support, reconnect with family and friends, and reach their full potential. This award goes to a person who stands above the crowd over decades of truly extraordinary work toward ending and preventing homelessness in Connecticut.
