We are excited to launch a new resource for those looking to learn more about funding sources available for the development of affordable housing in Connecticut. This resource is one component of a larger effort to organize critical resources available to promote affordability in Connecticut.
Funding programs are a key component in the expansion of housing opportunities across the state. However, identifying funding eligibility can be complicated, and programs are not collected in a common location. With the Affordable Housing Development database, we seek to maintain a collection of these resources in one central location. The database provides a high-level overview of those resources available to make development possible.
The database welcomes both experienced developers and those just looking to learn more about development funding, and provides links to connect users to the appropriate funding agency. It also allows users to explore financing resources by funding recipient: Nonprofit Developers, For-Profit Developers, Municipalities and Housing Authorities, and CDFIs. For example, nonprofit developers can search a list of financing resources available to them, and learn more about the fund administrator, type of funding available, and property size specifications.
We aim to actively update this database as new resources become available and others are taken offline. We welcome input from you regarding new and existing resources that should be added to this database.
