May 2022 IForum

Join us for our next IForum, Navigating Connecticut's Housing Continuum: The Experience of Seeking Stability, on May 25th from 10:00-11:30am via Zoom.

Housing instability takes many forms: paying too much of one's income for housing, living with family or friends to share costs, living in overcrowded or substandard housing, living in unsafe or disinvested neighborhoods, experiencing eviction or a forced move, and at its worst, literal homelessness.

This IForum will explore the experience of navigating Connecticut's housing market as individuals and families move toward housing stability. The event will consist of a facilitated panel discussion with experts who will share their experience with instability across the housing continuum including barriers and successes with securing and maintaining stable, affordable housing, how housing subsidy has impacted their lives and communities, and ways our state can improve policy to make housing more accessible and affordable.

This is a vital conversation for all housing policymakers and practitioners working to design and implement strategies to advance affordable housing.
