Over the last few weeks, we have heard countless stories of housing and homelessness partners working tirelessly to protect our most vulnerable community members during the COVID-19 crisis. Those on the frontlines have responded with innovation, dedication, and outright heroism. Now, more than ever, our community is committed to the vision that no one should experience homelessness and that everyone should have a safe, stable place to call home.
In a time where our news feeds seem filled with stories of tragedy, our community is working to improve the lives of the people who need it most. We are inviting you to share your stories of how individuals and organizations have gone above and beyond during this crisis.
We've begun collecting stories and will continue to through the beginning of June. During the week of June 8, we will lift-up your stories of exceptional acts of humanity and honor the heroes working every day to ensure everyone in CT has a safe, stable place to call home. The effort will consist of news stories, social media marketing, and other methods of outreach.
What can you share? Anything! Send a shout-out to a co-worker who picked up extra shifts. Thank a funder who provided responsive critical support when it was needed most. Share a picture of generous donations from community members. No act is too small to share. Share via online submission form or send to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to highlighting the ways our community is working collectively to provide housing, safety, and support to individuals and families during this unprecedented time.
