Comparing April 2017 to the same month last year, new data from the Warren Group shows that Connecticut home sales remain flat. Single-family home sales increased less than 1%, to 2,371 from last year’s April total of 2,352. The median sales price for a single-family home decreased by 2.1%, to $235,000 from $240,000.

Year-to-date (YTD) single-family home sales increased 4.8% to 8,435, compared to last year’s total of 8,048.

Comparing April 2016 with 2017, condominiums sales also experienced a small decrease, 1.2% to 657 sales, down from last year’s total of 665. However, the median sales price for condos experienced an increase of 4.7% to $164,900 from $157,500.

The Warren Group CEO, Timothy Warren Jr., commented on these findings calling the market steady and stable, though still well below market peaks a decade ago.
