Canceled: 2020 Reaching Home Advocacy Day

10 March 2020

A note from Kiley Gosselin, Partnership for Strong Communities Executive Director:

The Partnership for Strong Communities has canceled March 11's Reaching Home Advocacy Day due to concerns surrounding the spread of coronavirus.

On March 9, Connecticut legislators "closed the Capitol complex indefinitely...to all non-legislative functions, an effort to eliminate hundreds of visitors daily to combat the coronavirus crisis."

As a result, our Reaching Home Advocacy Day has been cancelled and you should not plan to come out to the Lyceum tomorrow morning as previously planned.

We are working now to brainstorm some potential remote advocacy strategies that we can still engage in and will keep you all posted.

Thank you for your time and commitment to advocating for the resources and supports our state needs to make homelessness rare, brief and one-time in Connecticut.
