Community Foundation for Greater New Haven: Greater New Haven COVID-19 Community Fund

Geographic Scope: Greater New Haven Region

The Community Foundation will work in partnership with United Way of Greater New Haven to proactively identify potential grant recipients, solicit guidance on potential recipients from community advisors and recommend final awards.

Connecticut Community Foundation COVID-19 Response Fund

Geographic Scope: Greater Waterbury and Litchfield Hills

The new fund is designed to be flexible and nimble in action to support trusted, frontline community organizations that meet the basic needs of local residents in Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills. The fund’s purpose is to complement the work of local officials and expand capacity to address all aspects of the outbreak as efficiently as possible through the nonprofit sector. We believe nonprofit agencies will face financial disruption, putting pressure on operating budgets, and compromising their ability to serve vulnerable populations.

Fairfield County Community Foundation: Fairfield County COVID-19 Resiliency Fund

Geographic Scope: Connecticut

Geographic Focus: Fairfield County

The Fairfield County COVID-19 Resiliency Fund will rapidly deploy resources to trusted, frontline community organizations that meet the basic needs of local residents in Fairfield County. The Fund’s purpose is to help alleviate the social and economic consequences of this global pandemic and to prevent the widening of disparities in education, employment, housing, and health. The Fund’s resources will be directed to organizations serving high need, vulnerable populations, including low-income individuals and residents without health insurance and/or access to sick days; immigrants; persons with disabilities; and communities of color, among others.

Hartford Foundation for Public Giving: COVID-19 Response Fund

Geographic Scope: Connecticut

Geographic Focus: Greater Hartford
The Hartford Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund deploys flexible resources to nonprofits in greater Hartford that support residents who are most vulnerable to the health-related and economic impacts caused by the pandemic. The fund will also support grants to stabilize nonprofit organizations experiencing lost revenue during the crisis.

Main Street Community Foundation (MSCF): COVID-19 Response Fund

Geographic Scope: Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington and Wolcott

The Main Street Community Foundation (MSCF) COVID-19 Response Fund is designed to help local communities mobilize the necessary resources to support the current emerging needs.

With this Fund, MSCF hopes to rapidly deploy flexible resources to help in areas affected by the coronavirus outbreak.

New England Grassroots Environment Fund: COVID19 Rapid Response Fund

Geographic Scope: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont

The COVID19 Rapid Response Fund supports grassroots groups responding to local needs and building resilience in their community in response to the COVID19 pandemic and associated events. Support is provided to groups doing local, grassroots work in CT, ME, MA, NH, RI, or VT.

Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation: COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund

Geographic Scope: Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation's 20-town service area

Rapid modest grants are available to those organizations working on the frontlines of the pandemic. Grants will be awarded for basic needs such as rent, food, infant supplies (diapers and formula) utilities (heat, gas) medication, child care.

Priority will be given to essential personnel and vulnerable populations (seniors, low-income individuals and families, immigrants, persons with disabilities, communities of color, persons without health insurance and/or access to paid sick days). 

William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund: COVID-19 Response Grants

Geographic Scope: Connecticut

The William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund is offering immediate support to communities in Connecticut responding to current events related to COVID-19. Support could include crisis response that addresses the physical, social, emotional well-being, and safety of those most affected by racism and poverty.

Valley Community Foundation: COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund

Geographic Scope: Ansonia, Derby, Oxford, Seymour and Shelton. 

The Valley Community COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund will provide flexible resources to organizations throughout the Valley that serve the Valley region, especially to those who are disproportionately impacted by coronavirus and the economic consequences of the outbreak. The Fund is designed to complement the work of federal, state, and municipal government efforts and expand local capacity to address all aspects of the outbreak as efficiently as possible.
