Final Rule on Runaway and Homeless Youth Published

The Family and Youth Services Bureau released its final rule on Runaway and Homeless Youth programs. The rule mirrors current statutory requirements in the Runaway and Homeless Youth Act and modifications made in the Reconnecting Homeless Youth Act of 2008. The rule establishes program performance standards for RHY grantees that serve youth and families and consists of additional requirements geared towards basic center, transitional living, and street outreach programs, such as nondiscrimination, background checks, outreach, and training.
