On December 23, 2016, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development awarded $246,000 to the Callahan House Association, Housing Authority of the City of Meriden, Housing Authority of the City of New Britain, and West Haven Housing Authority. This award will help public housing authorities connect residents with a service coordinator that will assist them with job searching and educational programs.
This funding is part of $32 million in awards and is administered by HUD’s Resident Opportunities and Self-Sufficiency Service Coordinator Program (ROSS-SC). ROSS-SC connects public housing residents with the resources needed to reach economic and housing self-sufficiency.
