HUD Releases Family Unification Program NOFA

On October 18, 2019, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced its 2019 Family Unification Program Notice of Funding Availability. This grant provides rental assistance to families and youth who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless and have been involved with the Child Welfare System.

The policy objectives of this program include:

  • Increasing collaboration between Public Housing Agencies (PHAs), child welfare agencies, and Continuums of Care
  • Leveraging data to strategically allocate and use resources
  • Strengthening connections to the HUD Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program
  • Increasing access to supportive services

Applications are due by 11:59 pm EST on December 17, 2019.
