Request for Public Comment on Connecticut's Family First Prevention Plan

The Connecticut Department of Children and Families (CTDCF) is seeking comments on the State of Connecticut's Family First Plan, which aims to extend and redirects preventive services provided through Title IV-E funds to be better support children and family well-being.  

Through its process, CTDCF has created a board candidacy population of those who might be eligible to receive Family First services, which includes youth experiencing homelessness and those unstably housed, as well as pregnant and parenting youth in foster care.  

CTDCF is currently accepting feedback on the plan, which outlines the vision of Connecticut's well-being system, the target population, suggested prevention programs, and continuous collaboration to reimagine supports for all of CT's children & families.
