New data from the Warren Group shows that in November Connecticut single-family home sales increased 19.3% to 2,615, from the November 2015 figure of 2,192. Year-to-date, single-family home sales were up 9.3% to 29,579, compared to the November 2015 year-to-date total of 27,057.
The median sales price of single-family homes also received a bump in November in a year-over-year comparison, to $238,000, up 3.9% from $229,000 in November 2015. However, year-to-date numbers show a very slight dip of less than 1% for the median sales price at $247,000, down from $248,000 last year at the same time.
Condominium sales also increased to 618 sold, up from 578 in November 2015, representing a 6.9% increase. Year-to-date, condominium sales are up by 4.4%, to 7,551 sales, compared to 7,234 the same time last year.
The median sales price for condos rose only slightly, by 0.3%, to $158,500 from $158,000 in November 2015. As with single-family homes, the year-to-date numbers for condominium sales prices represent a slight decrease, to $162,450 from $165,000, or 1.5%.
