Charlie Shaddox joined the Partnership as its Communications Associate in October of 2018, being promoted to Communications Manager a year later. In this role, he coordinates the Partnership’s external communications and public relations efforts. A native Nutmegger who grew up in Hamden, he has worked in communications-focused roles in Connecticut for the last two years. He creates original content for the Partnership’s media channels, including social media, publications, newsletters, legislative advocacy materials, and the Partnership website. His responsibilities also include promoting media engagement and dialogue around the issues of ending homelessness, expanding housing opportunity, and building thriving communities.
Prior to joining the Partnership, Charlie worked as a research assistant and field organizer for political campaigns in Eastern Connecticut. While in college, he managed the communications efforts and day-to-day operations of the Office of International & Graduate Programs at Tulane University Law School. His experience also includes research and report writing for the New Orleans Health Department, and assisting Connecticut non-profits in developing a public outreach strategy.
Charlie is a 2017 graduate of Tulane University with a B.A. in English and a minor in Public Policy. He enjoys using his communications and writing experience to amplify the important stories about housing and homelessness which too often go untold. Charlie lives in New Haven and is the proud owner of two pets, a yellow mutt named Biscuit and a grey cat named Nina.
