Grace joined the Partnership as its Development Associate in October 2018. She is a 2018 graduate of Central Connecticut State University, where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in sociology and a concentration in business. She is the former development intern at the Prudence Crandall Center for victims of domestic violence where she honed skills in grant writing, financial reporting, fundraising, community engagement, major event planning, and social media outreach.
In college, Grace spearheaded the CCSU Annual A Cappella Benefit Concert which raised $1,500 for the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in its first year and $3,000 for the CT Alliance to End Sexual Violence in the next. The event was awarded “Best Charity Event” at CCSU both years. She performed music during her time at CCSU in addition to working, interning, volunteering, and mastering her thesis, and now teaches weekly music classes at the university.
Grace was inducted into the national sociological honor society Alpha Kappa Delta in 2017. She carries 7 years of serving experience over to the nonprofit sector by utilizing her time management, social, and organizational skills as well as a passion for serving others. She is excited to be part of the Partnership in this capacity and believes strongly in the power of its mission to end homelessness and expand affordable housing.
