Administrative & Executive Support Specialist
Tracy Rice is the Administrative & Executive Support Specialist for the Partnership for Strong Communities, providing administrative support for the Executive Director and Administrative Director of the Partnership.
Tracy has an active role in providing support with events and meetings held at The Lyceum Conference Center, whose rental proceeds are 100% allocated to supporting the Partnership’s mission to end homelessness, expand affordable housing and build strong communities in Connecticut.
She believes the dynamic environment at the Partnership, with its frequent policymaker and community stakeholder meetings, makes for an exciting work environment. Tracy enjoys working with the Partnership’s staff to help schedule the meetings that bring many individuals together to help end homelessness. She attributes her appreciation for the uniqueness and importance of every person to having lived in and travelled outside the U.S., where she learned the true meaning of the Golden Rule.
Tracy has a B.A. in French and English Writing from St. Lawrence University, and has a Certificate in Grant Writing from the Connecticut Association of Nonprofits. She has 20+ years’ experience as a commercial insurance broker for multinational companies, and more than 7 years’ experience working in Events & Communications for a nonprofit youth development organization.
Tracy spends as much of her free time as possible outdoors, enjoying nature photography and open space, as well as travel.
